| I've done a lot of things in my life,
but the one thing that I've done consistently is write, play, and sing music.
Music is the one thing that I am always passionate about. It
doesn't matter what is going on in my
My father was a country singer who hailed from Paris Texas. My Dad had a real southern drawl and was playing in a band with Loretta Lynn when she was getting started in Blaine Washington. He later toured with Johnny Paycheck and lived in Canada for awhile. He passed away in the late eighties. Unfortunately my father was an alcoholic and left when I was very young. The experience left me feeling abandoned and gave me a bad taste for country music. I did however pick up the guitar when I was about fifteen. I wrote my first song when I was a freshman in high school. By the time I graduated I was writing thirty to forty songs a year. I spent the next ten or so years traveling and playing up and down the west coast and writing songs about the experiences and life lessons I was learning. I recorded a couple of Demo tapes, more as a learning experience, though at the time I didn't realize that is what I was doing. In 1993, I recorded an adult alternative CD in a band called BUCKWHEAT ELVIS. We had some regional success but split up in 1995. I began listening to new country, and realized that the sounds I was hearing were the pop rock progressions, with country lyrics and instruments. The sounds were fresh and exciting. I began to realize this was basically the stuff I'd been writing for years. I then realized I had come full circle and needed to pursue this with all the energy and passion of my accumulated experience. The end result is a compilation of ten songs that I feel is my best work to date. It was recorded over the last couple of years at Greenhouse Studios in Burnaby British Columbia. The reactions I have gotten so far have been very positive and my sincere hope is you will feel the excitement as well.
