Here are scenes from the video Rogaland the jewel of Norway.  Rogaland County is located on the Southwestern coast of Norway.  With its deep fjords, rugged mountains, clear lakes, lush farmland and small islands it is often called Norway in miniature.

Ships come from all over the world to Stavanger Harbor.  You can walk the cobblestone streets of Stavanger just meters from the dock and find world class restaurants, nightlife and great shopping.

Steps from the harbor you can walk through Gamle Stavanger and its best preserved collection of timber houses dating back to the 1700s in Northern Europe.  You'll also find the open market with everything from fresh shrimps and cod to flowers and strawberries.  The downtown is an especially busy place on Saturdays where you'll usually run into some friends.
